Muller Property Group is pleased to announce the launch of the first stage of the Barnoldswick public consultation on the proposed future development of the Fernbank site. Acquired by Hope Technology in 2014, the site has remained unoccupied for the past decade following the demolition of the historic Fernbank Mill. This consultation marks an important step towards transforming this 5.7-acre brownfield site into a vibrant community asset.
The proposed scheme will deliver 90 homes, including 1 & 2 bedroom apartments, 2 & 3 bedroom townhouses, and 3 & 4 bedroom semi-detached homes, with an affordable housing allocation, and featuring a mix of both private and communal gardens.
Situated within the defined settlement boundary of Barnoldswick and in a highly sustainable location with excellent connectivity to the town centre, the Fernbank site is ideally positioned for redevelopment. Muller Property Group plans to reintroduce a sense of community to the site by adding new homes that will enhance the existing residential offerings in Barnoldswick.
Collectively, these proposals aim to positively contribute to the economic future of Barnoldswick, creating new employment opportunities and delivering much-needed housing.
