Shape the Future of Land Development – Join Us as a Technical Manager

Are you ready to take your career to the next level in a role that blends planning expertise, technical coordination, and project management? At Muller Property Group, we’re looking for a talented Technical Manager to join our forward-thinking team and play a central role in delivering strategic land development projects across the UK.

As a privately-owned, family-run company with over 25 years of experience in planning and property development, we’re proud of our diverse portfolio spanning residential, healthcare, retail, leisure, and employment sectors. With an expanding pipeline of projects, we’re building for the future—and we want you to be part of it.

The Role: More Than Just Coordination

Reporting to our Technical Director, this newly created, full-time permanent position is key to ensuring our projects move from potential to planning and through to development. It’s a hands-on, multi-disciplinary role with exposure to the full development lifecycle, ideal for someone with a background in planning, land, or technical disciplines.

You’ll be the glue between consultants, internal teams, and external authorities, making sure projects stay on track, technically sound, and planning-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning Coordination

  • Assess land opportunities and their planning potential

  • Review Local Plans, housing supply data, and neighbourhood planning documents

  • Coordinate all site assessments and consultant input for planning applications

  • Manage planning submissions from start to finish, including documentation, consultant responses, and appeal processes

Technical Coordination

  • Source and assess utilities data, organise site investigations, and review abnormal costs

  • Oversee technical submissions (e.g. S38/S104/S278) and liaise with relevant authorities

  • Support feasibility work with detailed costings and infrastructure planning

General Admin & Project Support

  • Maintain project trackers, documentation systems, and technical programmes

  • Ensure cost schedules and cash flows are accurate and up to date

  • Keep our consultant network current and relationships strong

What We’re Looking For:

We’re after someone who combines technical competence with excellent coordination and communication skills:

  • Background in planning and/or technical roles in development or construction

  • A confident communicator with internal teams, consultants, and local authorities

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to technical detail and policy compliance

  • Highly organised and self-motivated, capable of managing multiple workstreams

  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using MS Office and planning portals

What You’ll Get in Return:

  • A competitive salary based on experience

  • 37.5-hour work week, with flexible hours and early finish Fridays

  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays

  • Pension contributions and performance-based incentives

  • Free on-site parking, pet-friendly office, and long-service awards

Why Join Muller Property Group?

At Muller, we do more than deliver projects—we deliver long-term value to communities, partners, and our people. You’ll be joining a business that values initiative, supports growth, and encourages a hands-on approach. As a Technical Manager, you’ll be trusted with responsibility and empowered to make an impact from day one.
