Planning for 66 dwellings proposed in Whissendine, Rutland

An outline planning application for up to 66 dwelling on the 3.5 hectar site submitted to the Rutland County Council in February 2020, is currently being reviewed with Counsel.

The site lies adjacent to the settlement boundary of the village of Whissendine, Rutland.

Additional ecological and archaeological surveys and reports have been subsequently carried out during 2020 and following the planning submission, as requested by the Council as pre-determination requirements.

The application was subsequently refused by the Rutland County Council and we submitted an appeal which is being heard via an informal hearing. We are awaiting allocation of Planning Inspectorate and the timetable. We’ve put in our resubmission application and we are liaising with the Case Officer.
