Muller Property Group Responds to Community Feedback with Revisions to Audlem Development Plans

Muller Property Group has announced a series of key changes to its proposed residential development on land west of Moorsfield Avenue and Tollgate Drive, Audlem, following feedback received through a public consultation.

The consultation period saw strong local engagement, with 54 individual submissions of feedback recorded. Muller has thanked all members of the community who took the time to share their views and help shape the plans.

A summary of the consultation activity includes:

    • Letters issued to local representatives, including Audlem Ward Councillor Rachel Bailey and Audlem Parish Council, offering meetings to discuss the scheme.

    • A leaflet mailed to around 960 nearby homes and businesses, outlining the proposals and ways to respond.

    • A press release issued to local newspapers to raise awareness of the consultation.

    • A dedicated website – www.moorsfieldavenue.co.uk – launched to provide further information and enable online feedback submissions.

    • A community information line, email, and postal contact available throughout the consultation.

    • An in-person public meeting held with representatives from Muller Property Group, Audlem Parish Council, local residents, and stakeholders.

In direct response to the issues raised during this consultation, Muller Property Group has introduced a number of revisions to the proposed development. While many of the changes are not technical requirements, they have been made in recognition of the concerns voiced by the community.

Key revisions to the scheme include:

    • Revised Access Proposals: A second access point via Moorsfield Avenue has been added to supplement the original access from Tollgate Drive, directly addressing concerns over traffic and connectivity.

    • Additional Parking Provision: Eight extra parking spaces, including one disabled bay, have been introduced adjacent to the public open space to enhance accessibility and respond to local concerns around parking capacity in Audlem.

    • Layout Adjustments: The overall site layout has been revised to reduce the potential impact on existing bungalows along Tollgate Drive and Moorsfield Avenue. This includes increasing separation distances and incorporating additional tree planting to soften views and protect residential amenity.

    • Improved Connectivity: A new informal footpath has been added through the Country Park area, strengthening pedestrian links within the proposed development and the wider surrounding area.

Muller is preparing to submit an outline planning application later this month, which will include a full Statement of Community Involvement detailing the consultation process and community input received.

An updated masterplan has been produced and shared with stakeholders, including Audlem Parish Council, as part of the continued dialogue around the proposals.
