Location

The parcel of land, just off the junction of the M60 and A576 (Middleton Road) is within walking distance of Middleton town centre (8 mins). Access to the site is from Manchester Old Road ‘A576’, via two entrances with one adjacent to the Middleton Cenotaph and the other adjacent to Middleton Skatepark.

The site has a very good level of accessibility to local public transport facilities and it is located within 8 mins walk of Middleton Bus Station.

 

Planning

The site is located directly to the west of the town of Middleton within the Borough of Rochdale. There are no listed buildings within the site boundary. However, the site sits within the Old Road Conservation Area and Parkfield House is identified on the Council’s local list as a Non-Designated Heritage Asset (NDHA).

Muller Property Group submitted a “Full planning application proposing the demolition of Parkfield House and the erection of a residential development (Use Class C3) and care home development (Use Class C2) with associated access, car parking, landscaping, open space and other associated works.
