Muller Property Group has launched a public consultation on emerging proposals for a new residential neighbourhood on land east of Swanlow Lane, Winsford.
The proposals, which are currently at an early stage of development, would deliver around 450 new homes, including affordable housing, alongside extensive areas of public open space, landscaping, biodiversity enhancements and improved pedestrian connections.
Located on the southern edge of Winsford, the site has been promoted through Cheshire West and Chester Council’s emerging Local Plan process as part of a wider area identified for future growth.
The proposals seek to create a sustainable and landscape-led extension to the town that responds positively to its surroundings while helping to meet local housing needs across the borough.
The emerging masterplan includes:
- Around 450 new homes, including affordable housing
- A mix of 1–5 bedroom homes
- Significant areas of public open space and green infrastructure
- Retention and enhancement of the Firwood Brook corridor
- New planting and biodiversity improvements
- Walking and cycling connections to surrounding neighbourhoods and local amenities
- Sustainable drainage features integrated throughout the development
As part of the pre-application process, Muller Property Group is inviting residents, stakeholders and local organisations to review the proposals and provide feedback before an outline planning application is submitted to Cheshire West and Chester Council later this year.
Michael Lovatt, Area Land Director (North West) at Muller Property Group said:
“We are pleased to launch this public consultation on our emerging proposals for land east of Swanlow Lane. The proposals have been carefully developed in response to the site’s landscape features, surrounding context and the need to deliver new homes in sustainable locations across the borough. We recognise the importance of meaningful engagement with the local community and encourage residents and stakeholders to review the proposals and share their feedback as part of the consultation process.”
Residents can view the proposals and submit comments online at: https://mpgconsultations.co.uk/winsford/
The consultation will run until Friday 12th June 2026.
