Muller Property Group is delighted to announce the appointment of David Lynskey as Area Land Director (Northern), further strengthening its strategic land capabilities as the company continues to expand its national footprint.

David brings a dynamic blend of planning expertise, commercial insight, and entrepreneurial experience developed across more than ten years in strategic land and residential development. He joins Muller from Miller Homes, where he played a key role in securing major residential land opportunities across all Yorkshire planning authorities, delivering a strong pipeline of sites capable of delivering approximately 1,500 homes. His focus on under-performing local authorities and areas lacking a five-year housing land supply enabled the business to bring forward high-value strategic applications, including sites now advancing through planning for submission in 2025.

His career also includes roles with Banks Group, where he successfully delivered a 390-unit tilted balance application, and several years running his own land consultancy, Capital Strategic, advising landowners across Yorkshire, London, and Surrey. Earlier roles in London’s renewable energy and residential sectors provided David with a strong foundation in planning process management, political engagement, and site appraisal, particularly on complex or contentious schemes.

Speaking on David’s appointment, Matthew Thomas, Group Managing Director at Muller Property Group, said: “David’s deep understanding of strategic land, his planning expertise, and his entrepreneurial mindset make him a fantastic addition to our land team. His experience working across diverse planning authorities and navigating complex policy environments will be invaluable as we continue to grow our Northern region land portfolio.”

In his new role, David will be responsible for identifying and securing strategic residential development opportunities across the North, building relationships with landowners, agents, and local authorities, and supporting Muller’s long-term growth strategy through the promotion and delivery of high-quality, sustainable developments.
