Muller Property Group has promoted Alistair Banks to Area Land Director for its Western region.
Banks brings more than 25 years’ experience in the residential development sector, with a strong track record in land acquisition, planning and negotiation. He began his career with Henry Boot Homes in Birmingham before moving to Morris Homes in the Midlands, McCarthy & Stone in York, covering Yorkshire and the North East, and later Harron Homes in Leeds.
He relocated to the South West in 2013, joining Barratt David Wilson Homes before most recently serving as Land Director at LiveWest. Across his career, Banks has secured both on- and off-market land opportunities and delivered multiple successful joint venture partnerships, consistently negotiating complex deals and securing planning consents aligned with development and financial objectives
Banks joined Muller Property Group as Land Manager in 2025 and has now been promoted to Area Land Director, reflecting his extensive sector experience and contribution to the business.
Commenting on his promotion, Banks said: “I’m delighted to take on the role of Area Land Director for the Western region. Muller Property Group has a strong reputation for unlocking land through the planning system and I look forward to working with colleagues and partners to identify new opportunities and bring forward sustainable development.”
Alongside strengthening its regional leadership, Muller Property Group continues to seek new land opportunities across the region and nationwide to support the delivery of high-quality housing and specialist accommodation.
The business is actively looking to identify sites that can support future care provision for the elderly, working with landowners, agents and local stakeholders to bring forward suitable development opportunities. Key site requirements include locations with a population of 10,000 or more within a three-mile radius, ideally with strong transport connections. Land parcels between 1 and 5 acres, with a minimum of one acre and a regular site shape. Sites that benefit from proximity to established residential areas and complementary community amenities. Muller Property Group is open to both greenfield and brownfield land and also considers opportunities within larger mixed-use or regeneration schemes.
Landowners and agents with suitable opportunities are encouraged to get in touch with the team to discuss potential partnerships.
