Muller’s plans for Sandbach could bring 300 jobs

The submission of our latest masterplan for our Houndings Park development in Sandbach has been covered in the Crewe Chronicle, “Town masterplan that could bring 300 jobs submitted”.

If approved the plan would create 300 jobs for the town. Our proposals include a BP petrol station, M&S Simply Food, Lidl, KFC, Costa or Starbucks, Subway, Greggs plus a 78-bed care home.

The site already has outline planning permission for 200 homes.

Speaking about the masterplan, our Chief Executive, Colin Muller said, “We have secured some top branded retail and leisure operators who want to be trading in this location which will cement and enhance the attraction of Sandbach as a retail centre for local residents and those travelling from further afield.”

Our previous plan for this site was refused by Cheshire East Council earlier this year and the newly submitted plan addresses the objections raised. Speaking about this Colin said, “We have taken on board feedback on the previous plans from the council and its consultants, and have addressed the reasons for the refusal.

“Our new masterplan ensures that this development links in well with the town centre and includes greatly enhanced landscaping, green space, improved design and materials.”
