The Site is bounded by mature hedgerows with occasional hedgerow trees and lies within Flood Zone 1 (low probability of flooding). A small part of the Site forms part of Hales Hall Pool Local Nature Reserve, designated as a Site of Biological Importance (Cheadle Fish Ponds).
