The proposals comprise an 80-bedroom care home designed to provide high-quality dementia, nursing, residential and end-of-life care accommodation within a modern and purpose-built environment.
Arranged across two and a half storeys, the development has been carefully designed to respond positively to its surroundings while delivering a much-needed form of healthcare and social infrastructure within the local area.
The care home will provide specialist accommodation designed around modern dementia care principles, incorporating en-suite bedrooms, clear wayfinding, secure landscaped gardens and high-quality communal facilities to support residents’ wellbeing, independence and quality of life.

The surrounding area comprises a mixture of residential development, village facilities and landscape features, with the site itself visually contained by mature vegetation and established boundaries.
Vehicle access is proposed from Nayland Road, with parking and servicing integrated sensitively within the wider landscape strategy.
