Muller Property Group control and are promoting a 9 acre (3.64 hectares) site to the west of Woore, Shropshire for residential development.
Woore is a village and civil parish located in the northeast of Shropshire, near the borders with Cheshire and Staffordshire. Woore is situated at the intersection of the A51 and A525 roads, providing convenient access to several nearby towns and cities, including Market Drayton (7 miles), Newcastle-under-Lyme (10 miles), Stoke-on-Trent (12 miles), Crewe (12 miles), Shrewsbury (30 miles) and Chester (35 miles) to the northwest.
A sustainable, landscape-led neighbourhood
This site presents an opportunity to establish a sustainable, landscape-led neighbourhood. The proposals will be thoughtfully designed to integrate with the surrounding environment, offering a diverse mix of house types and tenures to provide high-quality, accessible homes. The architecture will reflect and enhance Woore’s distinctive character, reinforcing local identity.
The development will blend seamlessly with its surroundings, incorporating key visual corridors, enhancing landscape features, and introducing new green spaces. It aims to foster a healthy, active community that is well-connected to the village and its amenities.
Shropshire Council
Muller Property Group submitted representations to Shropshire Council, promoting the site for residential development within the Shropshire Local Plan, and will be submitting an outline planning application to Shropshire Council.
We are now preparing an outline planning application for a new residential neighbourhood development to blend with the existing village of Woore, comprising:
- New homes for first-time buyers, families and the elderly
- Affordable housing provision to support local needs
- New vehicular, pedestrian & cycle-friendly access, connecting to Audlem Road
- Open space including new formal children’s play spaces
- Substantial Green Infrastructure including retention of existing hedgerows and trees
- Sustainable urban drainage features
