Proposal
Proposals for a new residential development, proposing up to 55 new homes on land south of Shaws Lane, Eccleshall.
The circa. 6.95-acre site adjacent to the southwest of the town, comprising of open arable land is conveniently located within 500 meters (a 12-minute walk) of the town centre and local amenities, and adjacent to Bishop Lonsdale Primary School.
The site will provide a broad mix of dwelling types and sizes, include one, two, three, and four-bed properties ranging from detached houses to terraced properties and maisonettes, that will help to meet local housing needs.
Up to 22 of the dwellings will be affordable homes, which comprises 40% of the proposed housing stock in accordance with Policy C2 of the Plan for Stafford Borough (Part One).
New vehicular, pedestrian, and cycle-friendly access will be introduced, connecting the site to Shaws Lane, improving connectivity for both new and existing residents. A public footpath has been retained to the west of the site along with the new areas of open space including formal children’s play spaces.
This proposed residential development on land south of Shaws Lane forms part of a wider vision for Eccleshall, as one of three sites Muller Property Group is bringing forward, alongside projects at Cross Butts and The Burgage. Collectively, these three developments will deliver around 160 new homes while enhancing local green spaces for public use.
