Muller Property Group is preparing to submit a planning application for phase two of its residential development, proposing up to 50 high-quality new homes on land north of The Burgage, Eccleshall.
The circa. 15-acre site (6 hectares) adjacent to the north of the town, comprising mostly open arable land with occasional trees and tree belts, and sits adjacent to the River Sow to the north. The site is conveniently located within 300 meters (a 7-minute walk) of the town centre and local amenities, and 800 meters (a 20-minute walk) from Bishop Lonsdale Primary School.
The proposals will include a mix of two to four-bedroom homes, including affordable housing, to meet the diverse needs of local residents. The landscape-led new neighbourhood is thoughtfully designed to integrate with its surroundings, the proposal prioritises green infrastructure, featuring the retention of existing trees and hedgerows, the creation of a new 10-acre country park that will provide ecological habitats and recreational space for the community.
New vehicular, pedestrian, and cycle-friendly access will be introduced, connecting the site to The Burgage to the south, improving connectivity for both new and existing residents.
This residential development on land north of The Burgage forms part of a wider vision for Eccleshall, as one of three sites Muller Property Group is bringing forward, alongside projects at Cross Butts and Shaws Lane. Collectively, these three developments will deliver approximately 145 new homes while enhancing local green spaces for public use.
Beyond addressing local housing demand, this scheme will also contribute to the local economy by creating direct and indirect job opportunities during construction. Additionally, new residents will bring increased consumer spending to the area, further supporting local businesses and services, contribute positively to the local economy.
