Proposal

Lindley is a suburb of Huddersfield, within the metropolitan borough of Kirklees in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

An outline planning application has been approved for a 60-bed residential care home with en-suite facilities and access with all other matters reserved on a (currently vacant) brownfield site in Lindley.

The site covers an area of approximately 0.70 acres (0.27 hectares) and is situated on Thomas Street. The site fronts onto Thorncliffe Street to the east with Brian Street running to the south.

The proposed new purpose-built care home development will be a 2-2.5 storey building with full-time on-site nursing care facilities. The high-quality care facility will incorporate recreational spaces for residents on all floors, including lounges, dining rooms, activity rooms, cinema, as well as a hair salon and landscaped gardens.

Our development partner for the site is Torsion Care.
