Muller has owned the land in Sandyford, Staffordshire since 2006. A number of historic planning permissions have been gained for a number of uses (trade counter, showroom, etc.) but unfortunately end users weren’t forthcoming and the permissions expired.
Keen to make use of the land, which is in a highly prominent position, Muller submitted a retail planning application in June 2018 for a coffee drive-thru, convenience store and additional retail unit.
Detailed discussions were carried out during the consultation exercise, including gaining the support of the Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association, which resulted in an Officer’s recommendation for approval. The application subsequently gained planning approval.
Planning permission was granted for a coffee drive -thru, convenience store and two additional retail units in December that year.
Works have now completed on site to construct the Costa Coffee drive thru. Costa Coffee is progressing with a fit out which is expected to be completed by the end of October. Tesco Express has occupied the convenience store retail unit and has officially commenced trading.
We have a keen interest for the remaining 500 sq. ft retail unit and are looking for a tenant to occupy the 1,200 sq ft. unit.
