Muller Property Group submitted the planning application for a mixed use employment development as well as a residential development of 189 home to Cheshire East Council.

Following a period of continued promotion and a number of appeals, the Secretary of State issued his decision in July 2020 which was to grant the outline planning permission.

This 34 acre (13.75 hectares) site is located just over 6 miles from Crewe and is located to the south of the existing settlement. As such we identified that it offered excellent potential for both housing and employment opportunities.

Through decision of the Secretary of State, Muller secured outline planning consent for a mixed use employment development comprising retail, office, trade counter, industrial and day nursery/creche as well as a residential development of 189 homes.

A full planning application for the spine road within the outline approved scheme was approved by Cheshire East Council in December 2021.

Natural England licences were obtained in March 2021 to fence and trap and Great Crested Newts found on site and all Newts have been relocated to the compensation areas off-site successfully. Furthermore, full surface and foul water designs are being prepared based on the housebuilders 189 dwelling scheme and proposed end uses.

As part of the full access approval 12/3746N, an application to discharge all pre-commencement conditions has been submitted for approval.

A full detailed planning for a mixed use employment development and local centre was approved in 2024.

Muller Property Group submitted a joint reserved matters application for Phase 1A, comprising of 189 homes in partnership with our development partner, David Wilson Homes which was subsequently approved.
