Proposal

Muller Property Group is bringing forward proposals for a new residential development on land to the west of Clock Face Road, Clock Face. This project is being progressed in response to the increased housing need across St Helens. Representations were submitted to St Helens Borough Council in 2022 and 2024, promoting the site through the Local Plan Update for Green Belt release.

The 8.5-hectare site sits on the south-western edge of Clock Face and is currently in agricultural use. It adjoins existing homes on Bridge Road and Sweet Brier Close, with Clock Face Road (A569) to the east and the M62 forming the southern boundary.

The site benefits from strong natural boundaries, mature trees, hedgerows and nearby public open space. It is also well connected to local walking and cycling routes, including the Miners Way footpath to the north and a bridleway linking Clock Face with Farnworth and Bold to the west.

Our emerging proposals aim to deliver a well-designed and sustainable new community, including:

  • Around 200 new homes, offering a mix of sizes, types and tenures

  • 45% affordable housing, in accordance with local policy

  • New public open spaces and landscaped areas

  • New walking routes and green corridors

  • Sustainable drainage solutions

  • Highway improvements and associated infrastructure

A comprehensive landscape strategy is central to our approach, creating attractive streets, enhancing biodiversity and providing accessible green spaces for both existing and future residents.

We are now undertaking pre-application public consultation to help shape the emerging proposals, and we invite the local community to learn more and share their views.
